Stopped by Friday around 5 pm right before dinner rush. We scored parking before the valet guys got to site and there was plenty of seats available inside the restaurant. My husband and I ordered the chicken over rice, pad see ew with beef, and broccoli with crispy pork. Everything was delicious but the favorite definitely was chicken over rice. The chicken over rice also came with side of soup, which we didn't care for. However, the chicken over rice paired with the ginger sauce was so friggen good! The food was also affordable and menu is extensive. Tables and floor are sticky and was dirty...restroom was very dirty as well...

the wait was insanely long (1 hour) but we went to the nearby gelato shop and that killed the time. i highly recommend the papaya salad. it was super fresh, perfectly acidic, and also had a pretty big portion. spicy clams were also good but smaller than expected portion. pad see ew and fried rice were also good and pretty good serving size.

They said it's a very popular place and very similar to Thailand food. Got there at 5:30 dinner time, it was not too pack but busy. Big portions, couldn't finish due to want to try too many ones.., Been there, would come back only if a friend wants to, other wise I'm fine too, not super In love but nothing to complain about It was good t trying :)

I lived in Thai Town and tried several Thai restaurants, and Ruen Pair is forever my favourite. It's a no-frills spot in a strip mall off Hollywood Boulevard, but the food is phenomenal. I had a spicy duck curry that I still think about. You can bring your own wine, but they have a great beer selection (Thai and domestic). It's a fluorescent-lit, bustling place, but you won't care about the ambiance once you dive into your dish. Service is efficient and prompt, and there's parking in the strip mall lot.

Parking is valet only ($3 for an hour) We came around 3pm, and even though it opens at 2pm, they were already packed!! This should be enough to tell you about the quality of food here. The wait was not too bad though, only about 10 minutes. Our service was quick and courteous. Very spacious with many seatings. We ordered Kra Pao with minced pork, spicy raw shrimp salad, pad see ew, and morning glory with crispy pork. I also got the longan tea, which I have had better elsewhere. Highly recommend the morning glory and the raw shrimp salad. I hesitated at first since I have not eaten raw shrimp before but it was sooo delicious and not fishy at all! Highly recommend! Bonus: the restaurant is in a plaza with plenty of other Thai restaurant and shops. We got a mango sticky rice from across the plaza and it was also delicious.

I love this place! They have many delicious dishes. You really can't go wrong eating here. Let's start with their Spicy Raw Shrimp Salad. It is fresh with a creamy texture and pair so well with the sauce. The Stew Pork Leg with rice. Yummy!!! The pork leg is sooo tender and flavorful. Like comfort homemade meal. Their Crispy Pork and Chinese Broccoli are also really good. Along with the boat noodle, flavorful! If I live in SoCal, I think I'll become a regular here. Their service is quick too. Feels like a hole in the wall spot. It's a must try spot! Pls add me if you like my vibe and @ imjennime

I recently stopped by Ruen Pair (a restaurant name that always makes me think about something you don't want to do to your pants!). But despite the name, this place is hopping -- even on a Tuesday night. I showed up around 9 PM and you would have thought this was Studio 54. Okay, I exaggerate but the lined wrapped around the front for people waiting for tables. I placed a take out order and walked over a for a little snack at the street stalls on Santa Monica Blvd. I love these, and it reminds me of being back in Southeast Asia. I ordered Penang curry with chicken and the morning glory (the first I've ever had this dish). The morning glory is a must-order. It is super healthy, but it's not one of those dishes where you're like, "Okay, I'm ordering this just because it's healthy and it tastes that way." It was so different than I expected. The dish is similar to Chinese broccoli, but I was expecting it to be more stir fried rather than a broth base. But it exceeded my expectations as it was so delicious mixed with fish sauce, a few beans, garlic and other seasoning. For sure, my favorite of the two. The Penang curry was tasty, but the curry was a little watery compared to how I typically like it. I will say, they put in a ton of chicken. In fact, I couldn't even dip into the dish with my spoon since there was just so much in there. I ordered it mild, but their definition of mild and mine are clearly pretty off! I like some heat, but this mild had my eyes watering. I don't know if they thought i could take the heat or if someone went a little spice happy in the kitchen. Overall, a fun experience. This place is BUSY but the line seems to move. The vibe inside is pretty interesting too with the LA motif. Next time, I'll try to eat there.

There were 7 parties ahead of us when we arrived Friday night at around 8pm. We took a trip to the nearby Thai plaza and were surprised when we checked back to only have 2 parties ahead of us after about 15 minutes. The entire restaurant was packed and lively and we were asked for drink orders quickly. We tried the runepair beer and it was pretty good it had a mild lychee flavor in my opinion. We also ordered several dishes that came with large portions and most of the dishes had a kick of spice ! They did not ask us for what spice level we wanted to be prepared if you can't handle spice well. My favorite dish is always the tom kha (coconut chicken soup). The chicken was actually really tender and juicy unlike a lot other ones I've tried. The raw beef salad was spicy as well but had a really good flavor. Im a huge fan of rare steaks so I had no issues with the raw beef. The chicken sate was a little on the dry side but the sauces pair well with it. Pad Thai was pretty standard. I would recommend this place if you're in the area.
